Trippie Redd is planning an ambitious pivot into rock music territory with his upcoming “Pegasus” deluxe edition.

Take Trippie Redd, who has been steadily gearing up to deliver his brand new single “Dreamer” on Friday. With Akademiks having already teased some premium material from the young melodist’s upcoming album Pegasus, Trippie took to IG Live to stoke the hype even further. “What the fuck I’m doing is dropping Pegasus,” he declares. “And the deluxe is going to be the rock album. Cause that’s what I’m doing. If you have a problem with that, unfollow me. Don’t listen to the album. I don’t give a fuck. My fans are going to listen to it, it’s still going to go number one.”
While we don’t know much else about the Pegasus deluxe, the fact that it’s set to be a “rock” album is intriguing in itself. It seems as if many rappers have been toying with the idea of branching into rock music, with G-Eazy and Machine Gun Kelly being two of the prominent rappers to make the foray in recent memory. Of course, we have yet to see how Trippie will reimagine Pegasus under a rock-focused lens, but we have faith that the rapper will make it work — do you think trying his hand at rock music is a wise move for Trippie?
